I was appointed to the House Environment & Transportation Committee by Speaker Adrienne Jones and look forward to tackling a myriad of issues to help protect our bay, environment, and work to improve our transportation system and infrastructure.

I am pleased to welcome a great team to Annapolis that possess a wealth of experience and stand ready to serve you. Please do not hesitate to contact our office if you have any questions about state legislation, problems with state agencies or benefits, need to request a citation, or any other concerns.

It was great to meet Taylor, a Calvert resident and student at Calvert High School who was a Page for this week. Every week, high school students from across the state come to assist members of the General Assembly as Pages on the Senate & House floor as well as learn about the legislative process.

The first week of session culminated as I attended a Legislative Requests hearing at the Calvert County Board of Commissioners along with Senator Michael A. Jackson and additional members of the Southern Maryland Delegation, to hear the requests of the local government as we are moving full speed ahead into this session.

As I continue to fight for you during this 90 day Legislative Session, I will strive with everything in me to serve you in excellence, honesty, and integrity.

Best,

Delegate Jeffrie Long Jr.

House District 27B
